AM & MP thank people of Arfon for generous food bank donations
For the second year running Plaid Cymru Arfon have held the Reverse Advent Calendar campaign which encourages people to give to the needy every day during the period leading up to Christmas. The idea is to place an item of food in a box every day during the advent before delivering it to a local food bank before Christmas. In order to facilitate this Plaid Cymru Arfon have made their office a drop-off centre for people who want to donate, with Plaid members and councillors collecting from people’s homes too. All donations were handed over the Caernarfon and Bangor food banks on the Friday before Christmas.
Free gas installation for new cafe in Peblig, Caernarfon
A social enterprise on the Ysgubor Goch estate, Caernarfon, is a step closer to being able to open after a generous donation of gas installation by Wales and West Utilities. This week representatives from the company came to meet the café’s manager Kenny Khan and local AM Sian Gwenllian.

Plaid Cymru has secured a business rate relief for small hydro projects that had been faced with an increase of up to 900% in their rates.
This follows a long campaign for Plaid Cymru to secure fairness for the hydro projects that had been disproportionately affected by non-domestic rates revaluation.
