Sian Gwenllian 2016 Assembly Election Candidate

New voice....loads of experience
Siân Gwenllian is eager to be your new voice in the Welsh Assembly, standing up for Arfon and North Wales.
She worked as a journalist for the BBC and HTV in Bangor before becoming county councillor for Y Felinheli, the village where she grew up. She is Gwynedd’s Small Business Champion and has previously led on Education and Finance.
Siân raised four children on her own after her husband, Dafydd Vernon from Penygroes, died of cancer 17 years ago. This was a huge challenge but has made her strong and compassionate. The children all went to school in Caernarfon.
Educated at Ysgol Friars in Bangor and at Aberystwyth and Cardiff universities, she is well known throughout the constituency as an effective, approachable and principled politician.
She is the natural successor to Alun Ffred Jones, Arfon’s current AM who is retiring.
