Plaid Cymru Member of Parliament for Arfon Hywel Williams and Assembly Member Siân Gwenllian have welcomed ongoing investment in Aber Falls Distillery during a tour of the facility.

Their visit coincides with the recent opening of the Aber Falls Distillery Visitor Centre and Tour – offering the chance to see how the award-winning range of Gin’s and Liqueurs are produced.

Aber Falls Distillery recently achieved five prestigious medals at the 2018 San Francisco World Spirits Awards, one of the spirits industry’s most respected competitions.

Commenting following their visit Hywel Williams MP and Siân Gwenllian AM said,
‘It is great to see this local business established and run by local people go from strength to strength and we are delighted to hear about further plans to expand the venture.’
‘Aber Falls Distillery is fast-establishing a worldwide reputation for excellence, yet they remain committed to working with local Welsh businesses and communities, driving forward investment in the local economy and tourism trade.’
‘The distillery’s commitment to the local sourcing of ingredients and people is exemplary and we wish them every success for the future.’
‘We will be closely following developments at the distillery and look forward to visiting again soon.’

Aber Falls Distillery Managing Director James Wright added,

‘We’re really driving to be a keystone in promoting the country at both a national and international level, by putting North Wales firmly on the whisky and spirits map.’

‘Our recently opened visitor centre, which currently offers tastings and tours, adds an extra dimension to the Distillery and we look forward to welcoming more visitors looking for attractions in the region.’
