The Party of Wales Arfon Standing up for the people of Arfon

It was #LeadHerShip day this week - an event organised by the charity Chwarae Teg intended to draw attention to the need for more women in politics ahead of International Women’s Day on March 8th.

Young women aged 16-25 from around Wales were given the opportunity to shadow an Assembly Member for the day in order to learn more about life in politics. It was my great pleasure to welcome Anna Whiteside Thomas from Llanrug to shadow me for the day, and I very much hope she enjoyed herself. I had met Anna previously as she was a member of the Falcon Force all-girl team who won at the Formula 1 For Schools racing car design competition. We have some very gifted young women here in Arfon!
