Growing concerns about "flawed" system.

Siân Gwenllian MS calls for teachers assessments to be used.

Siân Gwenllian MS, Plaid Cymru Shadow Education Minister said,

“Pupils who were awarded grades less than the teacher assessments in yesterday’s A-level & AS-level exams should be upgraded to the teacher assessment grades amidst growing concerns about the current flawed system.

“The Education Minister should also announce today that the teacher’s assessments will be used for awarding next week’s GCSEs.

“This means that this year’s results will be out of sync with previous years but these are exceptional circumstances and our young people are suffering enough. Upgrading to centre assessment grades is the compassionate way to deal with growing mistrust of the results.”
