Arfon AM pleased to take part in an initiative to promote more women to take part in politics

Are you a young woman aged 16-25? Have you ever wondered how decisions about health, education and tackling poverty are made in Wales? Chwarae Teg, a gender equality charity, are inviting young Welsh women to participate in their new project, LeadHerShip, and Sian Gwenllian, Arfon AM has agreed to take part.

As part of International Women’s Day 2018, there is an opportunity for young women throughout Wales to shadow their Assembly Member for the day and find out what life is really like as a decision maker. On Tuesday 27th February

2018 there is an opportunity to shadow Sian Gwenllian at the National Assembly for the day. You could be part of a group of young women from all around Wales to gain first-hand experience from inspiring role models within Welsh public life. You will spend time with Sian learning about how the Assembly works. The day includes a tour of the Assembly, a Q&A session with female AMs and a ‘mock debate’ in which you will discuss the role of women in Wales today.

Winners will be selected by members of the Chwarae Teg team and Assembly Members.
